What is the 5G Trial?

We are offering a 5G access trial to eligible new and existing mobile customers who sign up to our Large and Extra Large 365 days plans, Large and Extra Large 365 Flex plans, and Extra Large -12 Months plan or are already on our Large and Extra Large 365 days plans, Large and Extra Large 365 Flex plans, Extra Large -12 Months plan, Large and Extra Large 30 days plans, Large and Extra Large 90 days plans and Large and Extra Large 24 Months plans. This means that all eligible customers will have access to our 5G Network if they have a compatible 5G phone and are in a 5G coverage area, until 26 October 2022, unless extended further.

If I am already on these eligible plans, can I still access the 5G trial?

Yes! Customers who are already on these eligible plans will have access to our 5G network if they have a 5G compatible phone and are in a 5G coverage area.

Do I have to pay for this trial?

You will not be charged any additional costs for this trial (ie. you are only required to pay the fees for your eligible plan) and all your standard inclusions for your chosen plan will remain the same.

What happens after the Trial period ends?

The trial will end on 26 Oct 2022, unless extended. After the Trial ends, you will no longer have access to our 5G Network, and your service will revert to your 4G/3G network access for your eligible plan (depending on what is available in your area).

How do I know if my mobile is connected to 5G?

'5G' should display on the top of your home screen when you're connected to the 5G network. Your 5G compatible device can switch between 3G, 4G and 5G networks, depending on what is available in your area.

What if I do not want to participate, or continue in the Trial?

Please ensure to turn 5G off in settings on your compatible device.

We are offering a 5G access trial (‘the Trial’) on Eligible Plans to new and existing Kogan mobile customers (‘Eligible Customers’),who sign up to our Large and Extra Large 365 days plans, Large and Extra Large 365 Flex plans, and Extra Large -12 Months plan or are already on our Large and Extra Large 365 days plans, Large and Extra Large 365 Flex plans, Extra Large -12 Months plan, Large and Extra Large 30 days plans, Large and Extra Large 90 days plans and Large and Extra Large 24 Months plans (‘Eligible Plan’). If you do not want to participate in the Trial, please ensure you turn 5G off in your settings on your compatible device. If you are an Eligible Customer and would like to participate in the Trial, you don’t need to do anything to access the Trial, however, you must: (1) have an active mobile recharge on an Eligible Plan; (2) have a 5G compatible device; and (3) be in a 5G coverage area. Please use our coverage checker to find out more about our 5G coverage. If you choose to participate in the Trial, you will not be charged any additional costs (ie. you are only required to pay the fees for your active recharge on an Eligible Plan) and all your standard inclusions for your chosen plan will remain the same. The Trial will end on 26 October 2022, unless extended. After the trial ends, you will no longer have access to our 5G Network, and your service will revert back to your 4G/3G network access for your Eligible Plan.
